I am a student at Chapman University studying biochemistry. Through general education I was forced into the community of food writing. This event however has introduced me to a whole new world. As I quickly learned there is so much more to the writing about food. Food is our greatest pleasure yet overeating, under-eating is the cause of so many issues.

I tend to think very logically and from an economic perspective. I think of the food world as a thriving economy and stress the power everyone has to make change just by being a consumer. I also embrace new technology that makes food cheaper and more available for the world. If a person is just trying to put a meal on the table for his family and is struggling to survive, how to you expect him to live peacefully?
